  • Hispanocare, Inc. Scholarship Fund: Provides unrestricted scholarships (i.e. can be used for room & board, books, tuition, etc…) for Latino-American college students. Call Lucy Robles-Aquino Chief Executive Officer or Isabel Diaz at (773) 296-7157.

  • Illinois General Assembly (GA) Scholarship: Covers tuition for students who are enrolled at Illinois four-year, public colleges and universities. You may apply with both your state rep and state senator by asking them for an application. Go to the “Legislator Lookup” link at http://www.legis.state.il.us/ to find your state reps & senators.
  • LULAC National Scholarship Fund: " LULAC offers a variety of scholarships for high school seniors, undergraduate & graduate college students through [their] educational arm, the LULAC National Service Centers, Inc. (LNESC)."

  • Monetary Award Program (MAP) grants: If you fill out your FAFSA and plan to attend a MAP participating school, then you’re automatically applying for this and the Pell grant (check the box for “interested in state & federal grants and scholarships”). http://www.isac1.org/ilaid/map.html

  • National Hispanic Scholarship Fund: For Hispanic students with 2.5/4.0 GPA enrolled in an undergraduate, Doctor of Chiropractic, or graduate program. At least one parent must be full Hispanic, or both parents must be half-Hispanic -- e.g., Mexican-American, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Caribbean, Central or South American heritage) who are enrolled in the fall and spring terms for the academic year starting that fall, in an undergraduate or graduate program. Applicant must be a U. S. citizen or a Permanent Resident. Applicant must have completed at least one quarter of undergraduate college with at least a 2.5 GPA.
