A two-year program established to address the need for under-represented Latino faculty in academic medicine. The goal is to increase the number of new, tenure-track Hispanic junior faculty through strategic professional development. This fellowship provides physicians with future opportunities in academic instruction, administrative, or investigative areas while maintaining their clinical practice. The objectives include enhancing of teaching, grant writing, presentation skills, mentorship and expanded professional training and experiences for Latino physicians interested in academic medicine. The Center works closely with departments in clinical disciplines to identify potential candidates. Residents in their last year, individuals in post-doctoral training, and PhD science graduates are encouraged to apply.
