The Hispanocare student scholarship fund was established November 1996, in order to help Latino-American college students complete their education, by providing unrestricted scholarships for whatever the student(s) needs, i.e., education, housing, books, food, clothing, etc. To date, Hispanocare has awarded in excess of $151,000 in scholarships to deserving Latino students.
Eligibility Requirements
Student of Latino descent who have graduated from an accredited high school with a composite ACT score of 19.
Must have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 point scale or 4.0 or more on a 5.0 point scale, or have a minimum score of 250 for a GED.
Students must be citizens, nationals, or have lawful permanent residence in the United States and who reside in Illinois and who are studying in medicine, nursing, osteopathic medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, podiatry medicine, optometry, allied health, or schools offering graduate programs in public health or clinical psychology.
